Sun Fire V480
The Sun Fire V480 Server is positioned at the top-end of Sun's entry-level rackmount servers. The V480 features dual or quad 900 MHz UltraSPARC III Cu processors, up to 32 GB of memory, two hot-plug FC-AL disks, two hot-swappable (N+1) power supplies, dual integrated 10/100/1000-Mbps Ethernet, 6 PCI slots, and Remote System Control in a 5RU, 24in deep, rack-optimized chassis.
The Sun Fire V480 is ideal for web, email, ecommerce. ERP, CRM and OLTP applications as well as electronic design automation (EDA), mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD) and scientific applications.
